The music video for "Lalisa" by Lisa of girl group Black Pink passed the 500-million-view mark on YouTube last Saturday.
According to the group's agency YG Entertainment, the video for Lisa's solo debut single reached the milestone about nine months after its release in September 2021. This is the shortest period of time for a music video by a female K-pop solo artist to achieve the feat.
The previous record was 20 months set by Jennie's "Solo."
The music video for "Lalisa" is listed by Guinness World Records as the most viewed YouTube video by a solo artist in 24 hours, with 73.6 million views. It surpassed 100 million views in two days, 200 million in 13 days, 300 million in 48 days and 400 million in 121 days.
Black Pink as a group now have 32 music videos with at least 100 million views on YouTube.
