What would happen if we made a crash landing on a hermit kingdom such as North Korea? The highly anticipated K-Drama “Crash Landing on You” where Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin unfold outstanding performances gave viewers a sneak peek on October 25th. 

Crash Landing on You is a love story of an oddly-matched couple coming from very different backgrounds. Yoon Se Ri, played by Son Ye Jin, is a super rich heiress and a leading fashion businesswoman in South Korea. She is forced to land in North Korea while paragliding due to a sudden gust of wind. She bumps into Lee Jong Hyeok, North Korean military officer, played by Hyun Bin. He does everything to keep her hidden and protect her, falling in love with her.

Lee’s life has been nothing but great so far and he has a bright future ahead of him since he has an elite and prestigious background. Yoon’s life in South Korea is even better, almost as good as that of a royal family. Her family is super rich and she runs a successful business of her own. The two characters begin to have a fondness for each other in spite of their helpless situation.

The actors filmed in Switzerland and Mongolia and the teaser captures the breathtaking landscape of these beautiful countries. The drama is set to leave audience in awe with both the stellar cast and the amazing backdrop of Switzerland and Mongolia.

Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin previously starred in the 2018 film, “The Negotiation” together, and their fans are looking forward to seeing their chemistry once again as leads of this upcoming melodrama.

Hyun Bin explained how it feels to work with Ye Jin on the drama.

“There are times when I feel great charm and thrill from seeing my counterpart show unexpected acting. There’s also a thrill to my own reaction to that acting. While filming, “The Negotiations,” I saw that in Son Ye Jin. That’s why I wanted to try working with her again in the same space, making eye contact, and breathing the same air, and that opportunity came quickly.”

The staff cranks up a notch for “Crash Landing on You” with shooting and works through seamless collaboration.

Director Lee Jung Hyo commented, “Everyone will work hard in order to stay healthy and enjoy being on set until the end, so I hope it will be a fun and exciting shoot.”
