Chow King Grill & Buffet, which is located off Beaver Ruin Road and Indian Trail Road, will hit the spot if you are a buffet lover.
This overwhelming buffet starts in the grand parking lot. A double door entrance and exit help keep people from getting packed, while cultural statues greet them in the front. Customers are ushered in and seated right away. Sharp smiles warm them walking in.
The quirky Chinese inspired decorations promote customers’ appetite. This establishment is so roomy and prepared to accommodate approximately 500 to 1000 people at a time, with lots of seating and different sections in the restaurant.
Chow King serves over 200 items, which include Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cuisines along with some American options. The food line-up sections include: salad, soup, fruits, sushi, hot and cold sea food, udon, hibachi, traditional Asian food, and ice cream & dessert. Customers rave about the fact that there are lots of Asian buffets, but not many will have lobster and snow crab legs on the buffet. Contrastively, Chow King serves crab legs and lobster with a reasonable price for dinner. Crustacean related foods, which are customers’ all-time favorite, almost always get huge lines.
Some consider hibachi, hands down, the best out of every food choice. They can bring a bowl with a variety of ingredients to be cooked by the chef. Everything is fully cooked without being dried out, and the appropriate amount of sauce is added. The chicken skewer is considered to be creative, served with juicy chunks of chicken combined with pineapple and vegetables. It ends up with sweet and sour sauce drizzled on top. The servers are very attentive and the drinks are refilled quickly. The dirty plates are also removed swiftly.
The plentiful experience in Chow King goes beyond just one time curiosity to try this place.
“We've been to this buffet several times now. The first time I came, I was really impressed by the variety of selection. This buffet is more unique than the others because of the Korean side dishes and BBQ meats. I like all the Chinese, American, and Japanese choices too,” said Steve Lim, in Norcross. “You definitely can get several plates of food without getting bored of the selection.”
Customers’ love for Chow King is not just a passing infatuation. It's a never-ending story.
“This is the second time in one week I have visited here. It hasn't disappointed me either time. I was enthralled with great selection of all types of dishes,” said Maggie Bowman, in Doraville. “The quality and freshness is spot on! Service is very good and thoughtful. I dare to think there is none which can come near to this one in the buffet game in all of Atlanta. I hope it continues to be the best!”
Chow King, which first opened in Macon, has briskly marched forward, opening 24 branches in the Southeastern area. Chow King attributes its success to loyal customers.
“We truly appreciate our local customers for their steady support. For customer appreciation, we have been performing a car giveaway each month. The vehicle is a Honda Accord and its value is equivalent to $27,000-30,000,” said Peter Chiang, Manager of Chow King, Norcross. “We intend to switch the receipt raffle ticket event to a scholarship award. Now the alteration is in the works beginning this September. We wish the young generation would be well nourished through Chow King’s giving back to the community.”
Melody, Manager of Chow King in Norcross, stressed that, “We are the premium buffet in Atlanta. Under the catchphrase of “honest food, honest service,” we will provide all the customers who visit here with the best service. An all you can eat buffet, Chow King is the very thing.”
