A new concert film from boy band Bangtan Boys, also known as BTS, will hit screens worldwide next week.
"BTS World Tour: Love Yourself in Seoul" will be released in 3,800 theaters in 95 countries on Jan. 26, according to the band’s management agency, Big Hit Entertainment on Wednesday.
The film features BTS' concerts from Aug. 25 and 26 of last year at Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul, where they kicked off their world tour. Unlike their previous film, "Burn the Stage," which mainly shows behind-the-scenes footage of their world tour, the new one is solely dedicated to the band's performances, which can be viewed on a three-sided screen.
Tickets are already on sale in some cities, including Frankfurt, Germany, and are selling out quickly.
In Korea, tickets for all 16 premiere screenings for Jan. 26 and 27 are sold out. At the premieres, fans will be allowed to bring light sticks and sing along, as if they were at a live concert.
Web comics featuring superstar boy band Bangtan Boys, a.k.a BTS, also started to be released on Thursday under the title of "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.0."
The band's management agency, Big Hit Entertainment, said it came up with the plot line for the 16-part series while Naver Webtoon affiliate LICO handled dramatization and production. New episodes will be released weekly in Korea and seven other countries including China, Japan, Thailand and the U.S.
The plot is based on BTS' album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever," with Jin returning from the U.S. to search for his old friends two years after the group's seven members separate. Seeing that they have suffered misfortune, he goes back in time to try and fix their mistakes.
A Naver Webtoon spokesman said, "The webtoon portrays some of the messages BTS try to deliver through their music and offers fans something new about the group."
