Big Bang’s G-Dragon and BTS’ Jimin have landed a spot on the Guardian’s list of “The 30 Best Boy Band Members.”

According to the Guardian, British daily newspaper, Big Bang’s G-Dragon and BTS’ Jimin have been among the ranking for “The 30 Best Boy Band Members. G-Dragon has been listed at No. 11 and Jimin has grabbed the No. 17 spot.
The Guardian published an article listing 30 boy band members in pop history with the best style and performances on December 13th. G-Dragon was praised for his role in influencing the era of modern, multi-disciplinary Korean pop stars. G-Dragon is so well-rounded that he produces, writes songs, does rapping and more. He has served to make the Big Bang one of the kings in the K-pop scene.
Acknowledged for his musicality and fashion, G-Dragon has been constantly creating a mark for himself as a leading icon in the K-pop world. He currently holds the record of being the idol with the most number of songs copyrighted under his name.
G-Dragon’s real name is Kwon Ji-yong, born in 1988. From the age of twelve, G-Dragon was trained for 6 years at the YG Entertainment, one of the major music production companies in South Korea. By debuting in 2006 as a member of the hip-hop boy band Big Bang, he has been becoming an unbeatable musician. In 2013, he embarked on his first worldwide tour as a solo artist, making him the first Korean soloist to tour Japanese dome arenas. He also made the big time with his second album Coup d’Etat and won the Artist of the Year award at the 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
Jimin is described as the member who, “brought the flashes of old school boy band sex appeal” accidentally showing off his abs during his solo track “Serendipity” at the recent London arena show. The 23-year-old hair-dye enthusiast, Jimin, was in the middle of all the robotic choreography. Aside from his ethereal beauty, Jimin impresses with his fluid movements and powerful vocals in his every performance.
Jimin is represented as an indomitable spirit. BTS revealed Jimin was almost kicked out over 8 times the day before his debut as a trainee, which weighed heavily on him. Jimin always wants to show the best of him to fans and used to get caught up in being perfect.
