The music video of "Fake Love" by Bangtan Boys, also known as BTS, garnered over 400 million views on YouTube as of Saturday, their management agency Big Hit Entertainment said on Sunday.
"Fake Love" is the lead track off the band's album "Love Yourself: Tear" released in May. The album debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart about a week after its release, making BTS the first K-pop act to achieve the feat.
It is BTS' fourth music video to pass the 400-million-views milestone. The videos of "Dope" and "Fire" have hit more than 400 million views since their release in 2015 and 2016, while "DNA" has surpassed 500 million views since its release in September last year.
BTS have also been named U.S. TIME magazine's readers' poll for Person of the Year, beating world leaders and other celebrities.
The magazine recently conducted an online poll of its readers to select "the most influential person or group of people who have had the greatest impact on the news and the world over the last 12 months," and BTS topped the list.
It was the second time BTS have won the honor among more than 50 candidates, who included President Moon Jae-in, former U.S. first lady Michelle Obama, U.S. President Donald Trump, British Prince Harry's wife Meghan Markle, Pope Francis, and pop stars like Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift.
