Son Na-eun, a member of girl group A Pink took her first starring role with the horror film, "The Wrath," which was released last week.
"I have appeared in a couple of dramas and had some minor parts in movies. I'm also a buff of horror movies, so when I was offered a lead role in the film I accepted without hesitation," she said.
But it wasn't easy for her to take on her first lead role. "I'd never played a lead role before, even in dramas, so it was really challenging for me to play a vital role that carries the whole movie," she admitted.
"I try not to worry about what viewers might think about the film, but I can't help but wonder what their response to the film will be," she said.
Asked about juggling her career both as a singer and as an actress, "Acting and singing seem similar, but I realized that they're actually quite different," she said.
"I used to work with my teammates whenever performing on stage as a singer, but while shooting the film, I had to manage things all by myself which made me feel nervous and under a lot of pressure. I might need more time to get over it."
"The Wrath" is a remake of the 1986 film. It revolves around two women who are pitted against each other after the tragedy of a family whose three sons all die on their wedding day.
