Boy band EXO are the new face of a global Korean tourism campaign. The Korea Tourism Organization on Monday unveiled a teaser for a series of advertising starring EXO, who were named promotional ambassadors for the KTO in June.
Under the slogan of "Korea asks you, Have you ever…?," the campaign will focus on six different themes: Korean history and traditions, daily life, social trends, adventure, relaxing getaways and Korean Wave.
Advertisements will appear on TV, YouTube and Facebook across the globe, with the first one to be released on Aug. 13 and a total of 22 planned by the end of the year.
They will feature the demilitarized zone on the inter-Korean border and nearby Imjingak Pavilion, as well as night markets, outdoor street food stalls and jjimjilbang, or Korean saunas.
