An entire subway train in Seoul has been covered in pictures of Xiumin, a member of boy band EXO.
The EXO-themed Subway Line No. 7 train began operating on Tuesday and the dazzling ad was paid for by his fanatic fans to celebrate the sixth anniversary of his debut, Seoul Metro said.
The interior of the train was wholly decorated with pictures of the star and quotes from interviews hung on the walls, which drew instant attention from passengers, especially youngsters.
"I took pictures of the train and shared them with my friend who is a big EXO fan," said a university student.
"I heard that Seoul Metro has been struggling with chronic deficits, so this massive scale ad might help," another student said.
But some were apparently perplexed by an unfamiliar scene. "It's too much and it makes me dizzy," said a 80-year-old passenger.
The ad, reportedly costing W30 million, runs for a month (US$1=W1,069).
